Death and Dying

Root The Root is associated with the element of earth and grounding. It establishes the deepest connections with our physical body, our environment and with the Earth. All events that threaten our basic survival are recorded within energies of the first chakra. Sacrum The Sacum seeks passion, pleasure and enjoyment. It is our centre of feeling, emotion, pleasure, sensuality, intimacy and connection. It represents how we experience our lives through feelings and sensations. Solar Plexus The Solar Plexus is our identity/ego and the centre of our willpower (the perception of who we are). It is our inner confidence and self esteem. It is also the centre for our lower emotions and associated behaviours. Heart The Heart is the centre of our deep bonds with other beings, our sense of caring and compassion, our feelings of self-love, altruism, generosity, kindness and respect. When the heart chakra is open and energy is flowing freely, we are loving with others and with ourselves. We know when to say no and when we need care and self-nurturing. It is the centre of our self truth and higher-self guidance. Throat The gift of this chakra is to accept our originality, express our authentic voice and speak our truth. It is linked directly to our personal integrity and sense of honour. It is the communication centre, where we learn to express who we are and what we stand for. This is also the centre for manifestation. A person with an open throat chakra is a good listener. They enable other people to have the experience of being heard, which is one of the most profound human needs. Third Eye The Third Eye is the ability to see both inner and outer worlds. It allows us to experience clear thoughts as well as gifts of spiritual contemplation and self reflection. It allows us to access the inner guidance that comes from the depths of our being. It helps us cut through illusion and access deeper truths; to see beyond the mind and beyond the words. The Third Eye is not only the seat of wisdom, but is also the seat of conscience. This is where we are able to see what is going on and understand what it means. This is also where our sense of justice and ethics originates. Crown The Crown is the seat of cosmic consciousness. It connects us to Divine intelligence and Divine grace. The energy of this chakra allows us to experience mystical oneness with everyone and everything in nature. It is the fundamental connection to the Akashik Records. It receives energy to sustain life and returns the personal energy to unite with the collective pool of consciousness.

What is Intent? When we create an intent, there is a desire to generate change based on a reason or purpose. We need to keep an open mind and fully believe that change is possible. One of the ways this can be accomplished is through repetition of a phrase or statement, like a mantra. Mantras incorporate spiritual practices to connect with various energies. When a mantra includes an intent, we can manifest the desired change.

What Is Vibrational Energy? Energy travels in waves and can be measured in frequencies. Our bodies have the ability to emit emotional vibrations which can be felt in both lower and higher frequencies. The lower vibrational frequencies are associated with negative emotions like sadness and anger, while the higher vibrational frequencies are associated with the more positive emotions like happiness and love.

Every day we experience positive or negative situations either directly or indirectly. It is how we decide to react in the negative situations that determines if we are stuck in a victim mentality. A victim mentality is when we “constantly blame other people or situations for the things that happen”[1] to us. Instead of asking why this happened and what lesson there was to learn, this evaluation process becomes blocked. This is a heavy burden that creates mistrust and negative energy and it can be detrimental to our health and relationships. It also keeps us from learning how we could react more appropriately in similar situations. So, how do we break this cycle? We need to focus on our inner work and practice forgiveness. This can help us to rebuild our trust in others and teach us to respond positively when we are experiencing negative situations. We can also heal past traumas and learn to recognize our emotional triggers. This will help us learn how to respond with confidence when we become triggered. If we can accept responsibility for our actions and acknowledge that blaming others is preventing us from finding happiness, then we have learned how to break the cycle. We can now move closer to a place of love, joy and peace. If we continue to do our inner work, we can learn to love ourselves and know that the more we do, the more love will be returned to us. The universe returns that love by enabling us to work and live alongside one another, be in accord with one another and enjoy abundance. Our higher self or wisdom of knowing understands this and will serve us in a way that is meant for us to experience. All that is required is patience, tenacity, trust, courage and love.
