Are you on or off the Fence?
You can start to move off that fence - The import part is to move!

Diligently staying the course will reveal a new reality that’s happening. Use your tools and intuition to sense the direction and keep on course. Activate your keen sense of awareness to be in the moment and pay attention to the present energy. Continue to answer the call, making decisions that move you off that fence. With each movement, cautious or not, more will be revealed. Recognize missteps quickly, retreat a little, regroup, and get back your focus to your desired reality and dreams. Any choices moving forward will affect the reality you are creating, or desiring to be a part of. We can still course correct at any time.
Peace should begin to settle in and our creativity will inform the reality that will be part of our new lives. This can occur through engaging in art projects, music, or physical movement that connects us to our authentic expression. Health and self-care is most important now to enable us to hear the call of our deep, intuitive knowing.
The bumps along the way may at times feel hopeless, unforgiving, and scary. We may second guess whether we’ve made the right choices. We may ask ourselves if the outcome we hoped for looks like our present day reality or did we get way off track. It’s often when reflecting, that we see among the bumpy travels, that there have been great achievements and joy. We must trust and have faith that our path is guided. Trying to remain neutral will not help us avoid the inevitable bumps or the energy required to let go of what needs to go so we can heal. The fence often feels like a safe place, somewhere to take a breather. Perfectionist tendencies can play a role here, but perfectionism is just disguised as a way to control the situation. Perfect doesn’t exist though, we only awaken through lessons and experiences, uncomfortable or not, by moving through life.
Take a good look around while you’re on that fence. Choose a course of action that creates movement, with confidence. You don’t always have to take big steps. A few well-intended small steps each day, or even every other day, will keep the wonder and excitement alive while moving forward on the chosen path. These intentional micro-movements are warming to the soul. As we allow our hearts to align with our true course, we can’t help but elicit feelings of comfort. Much like stepping into a warm and welcoming bath.
The key to getting off the fence is deciding how to proceed. In the upcoming days of September, you should have your mojo back. You will be open to discovering new points of view or developing new opinions. Wherever you can explore new possibilities and take care of your inner garden. Nurture your soul’s desires to expand and allow nature to inform you of new ways of being. Observe and take in the essence of your surroundings as this provides new insights. These practices will help restore faith in your ability to create the reality you’ve been wishing for.
Top Five Ways to Get Off the Fence
The decision to just make time and space to get off the fence is the biggest challenge. The importance of one step at a time is crucial to get results. That may mean just committing to one small change over some time and going on from there. Regardless, be committed, but be kind and patient with yourself. Each fence is different!
- Self Care. Take care of your physical container by integrating activities that help regain vitality and to which you can experience life at your very best. Choose one to start with and focus on that. Also, mind the needs of the other aspects of self. Here are my top three for physical self-care:
- Nutritional Health: A mindful diet to decrease inflammation and toxins.
- Physical Health: Move your body through exercise, like walking, or engage in physical activities that you enjoy. Care for your body with massage, acupuncture, Reiki, or modalities that bring stress down and relief up.
- Mental and Emotional Health: See a professional for emotional and mental health issues. Learn something new to keep your brain nimble like taking a class or a hobby that requires working with your hands. Select classes that are in-person, and social opportunities are good for mental health. Social opportunities like community ceremonies, events, and Reiki are great ways to create new relationships and interact with friends.
- Flower Essence. Clear out what no longer benefits you, with the power of nature. Engage only with people and places that elevate your vibration. Enlist practices that remove stress and chaos from your life, like interacting with nature.
- Present Moment. Be In the now, not in the past or the future. Center yourself to the present moment where the magic lies.
- Meditation. Give space and allow creativity to come to you naturally. Being a “receiver” of the natural world through quieting the mind will calm and enlighten with simple but profound solutions and information. Practice patience, be open to new ways of moving into the reality you desire.
- Energy Mindfulness. Empathic individuals often pick up other people's energy and thoughts. Ensure the energy and thoughts you are dealing with are your own. Remove yourself from a room or space that feels negative and clear your field with smudge or Reiki. Keep your thoughts focused on your dreams and creative ideas. A mind that is forever thinking is a waste of energy.
