The Christmas season is upon us. It is a time for being with family and friends, for appreciating all that we have and for exhibiting love and kindness. Although it can be a happy and magical time of year, it can also be stressful. We tend to expend our energy on hosting the perfect gathering, creating the perfect meal and finding the perfect gifts for our loved ones. In all of the hustle, we tend to forget about ourselves.
As we spend most of our time in our homes during the holidays, essential oils can aid in creating a more peaceful and relaxing environment. Marjoram, Ylang Ylang, Roman Chamomile, Hawaiian Sandalwood and Vanilla Bean promote relaxation, while Lavender, Bergamot, Jasmine, Basil, Lemon and Rose can spread happiness. Put some of these oils in a diffuser and better yet book -yourself a massage! We have some wonderful professionals that can make a difference in your overall relaxation experience.
Meditation and Reiki can also aid in reducing stress while promoting relaxation. They are useful tools that can offer emotional, physical and spiritual wellness. Whether you try one or all of these methods, they can inspire and add a sense of calm to your holiday season.
3 Key TIPS to keep you in the ZEN ZONE!
- Get up as early as possible. Best time is between 5 and 6 a.m. And do your mediation at this time. Give that at least 30 to 60 mins. You are now in a mindset that keeps you focused and stress free for the day.
- Shower before bed and wash off the energies of the day! This is super important if you are around a lot of people, energy can be sticky. It prepares you for a peaceful sleep as well. And sleep with a cooler temperature in the room.
- If you have any level of Reiki do your self-healing portion after your meditation. Lie down or sit and incorporate that into your intention for the day. 15 to 30 mins.
No MATTER WHAT, keep this up, especially over the holidays! You will be glad you did. After my 66 day commitment to my mediation regime and Reiki self healing I am hooked! What a difference it makes to honor myself first thing in the morning. It sets me up for a successful day and my body feels amazing.
I have also been intermittent fasting and fasting weekly and I must say my energy levels have increased. I do know this is allowing some great de-toxing and helping my body heal along with the great healing energy I have been doing. I see now why the YOGIS practice this in their lives and live long and create a youthfulness that gives you energy that goes and goes like the energizer bunny. The new year has some new and exciting things to share, combine this with mediation and that also sets me up for a successful fasting day as well.

October also brings ancestral energy to the forefront, encouraging us to honor those who came before and those who will come after.
